Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary's prime Auxiliary District has recently concluded a successful and well-attended District Conference last 09 March 2014 at Camp Aguinaldo.
A total of 245 officers from 16 Squadrons of the Coast Guard Auxiliary District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (CGADNCR-CL) have attended as well as the flag officers from the National Auxiliary Main Office and the Station Commanders and Chief of Staff of Coast Guard District National Capital Region Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL) joined the District Conference.
The activity, as led by CGADNCR-CL Director COMMO LARRY F DIMAGIBA JR PCGA, began with a troop formation and inspection, and presentations on Coastal Community Project as implemented by NAMO.
An open discussion was also held as led by RADM JOSEPH N DY PCGA, National Director for Operations of the PCGA.
RADM DY lauded CGADNCR-CL for being self-sufficient and mused that among the Auxiliary Districts, NCR proved that it rarely needed the NAMO's help.
"CGADNCR-CL is one of the most successful and active Districts due to the number of its manpower. You should focus on Coastal Communities and channel your efforts from MARSAR to MAREP. Don't forget our PCG counterparts and work in tandem with them," he said.
RADM Dy also encouraged CGADNCR-CL to continue assisting other Districts and to recruit people who cannot just share their treasures, but also their talents.
In his speech, PCGA National Director VADM DANILO G CABALDE PCGA stated that his leadership has always aimed to bring the PCGA forward. "NAMO thinks of how to improve the system and be more effective in doing its mission and share this to all Districts."
"Our journey was never smooth sailing, there are challenges and criticisms; but you never allowed anyone to topple and divide your District. That is why you still remain intact," VADM CABALDE added.
"We are no longer where we have been. Challenge the known and embrace the unknown. We can never be an effective partner of the PCG if we continue to do what we used to do. Continue to be of service to the nation and leave a legacy as we continue on our journey full speed ahead!"
