The PCGA 125th Auxiliary Squadron, led by Director Auxiliary Squadron CAPT JUNMAR A ROA PCGA, participated in a Coastal Clean-Up activity as organized by Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cavite last 07 February 2014.
Plans of actions for the day were coordinated to CGADNCR-CL Deputy Auxiliary Director for Operations CAPT SALVADOR TIANGCO JR PCGA by the DAS and with CGS Cavite Commander LT FIDEES D SALLIDAO PCG.
The team assembled at McDonald’s Talaba, Bacoor around 0530H and proceeded in Barangay 62-A Cavite City that was located just beside the municipal hall.
Upon arrival at around 0600H, Squadron members requested to the present Coast Guard personnel whether the team can start cleaning the coastal area of said Barangay. Equipped with cleaning tools, Squadron members began with the clan-up operations and placed the gathered garbage on sacks.
About 60 sacks of garbage were collected by the group composed of CGS Cavite, 125th Auxiliary Squadron, the Cavite Office of Public Safety (COPS), Environmental Protection Operations Division (EPOD) and the local police. It was later picked-up by a garbage truck as provided by the city hall.
