A VOW TO LOVE
Inseparable. Sugary sweet. A reflection of each other; this and a lot more may not be enough to describe the sweetest couple you could ever see in the PCGA.
Last April, Ldcr Arnel D Alvaran PCGA and Ltsg Noemi S Alvaran PCGA celebrated their 15th year together along with their children Banjo, Bea and Beena, their family, relatives, friends, church-mates, airsoft team and the 125th Squadron.
The Crystal Wedding celebration of the Alvarans is not your typical ceremony; apart from the fact that it is the first time both of the couple walked down the isle, spectators were also moved into tears by what the bride did—sang her way to the groom. The song Kasama Kang Tumanda (I Wanna Grow Old with You) not only touched the hearts of their guests, it had Lcdr Arnel reaching for a hanky to wipe the tears of joy.
“Nothing prepared me for that moment when she sang her way to me. I wanted to leap and shout to the world that I did the right thing and married her 15 years ago,” said Lcdr Arnel.
According to him, their love story began in the PMMA Grounds in Fort Bonifacio where he first caught sight of her during their acquaintance party. The “interesting night” led to something a lot more better: dates, a civil wedding and BaBeBee (the initials of their children). Not even the drags of long-distance relationship hindered the couple—Lcdr Arnel is a marine chief engineer.
“One of the reasons why I am surviving the long distance relationship is that he never took my feelings for granted. There is honesty, trust and connection,” says Ltsg Noemi.
The discussion was made a lot more engaging and kilig-filled every time Lt Noemi or Lt Arnel would suddenly pop an “I love you”, giggle with joy 0r express their infectious feeling for each other, one of the best statements being this:
“Katulad ng sinabi ko sa harap ng maraming tao nang ikasal tayo, at paulit-ulit na ipapaalala sa’yo, MAHAL NA MAHAL KITA NOEMI mula langit hanggang lupa, until my dying days,” Lt Arnel passionately said, making his wife the happiest and prettiest of all women in the world.
AN OATH TO DUTY
It was a very special day for two people in love as well as for a group of men and women who are up for camaraderie, unity and duty.
Gracing the event in support of their fellow officers, the 125th Squadron expressed their best wishes to the Alvaran couple and later in the day, congratulating one another for stepping on another milestones in their lives.
Through the leadership of Capt Eliseo P Lim PCGA and Capt Junmar A Roa PCGA, 9 new members were successfully inducted to the 125th Squadron, thereby increasing the group’s manpower and assets.
Together, we all strive towards the same goal, united, strong and dedicated.
