Orientation
All new member applicants of the Coast Guard Auxiliary District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (CGADNCR-CL) shall undergo three stages of orientations and submit required documents as listed on the Enrollment sub-page of this website, before he/she shall be appointed as a member and inducted to the PCGA Service.
Auxiliary Squadron Orientation
This is a two-hour orientation on the most basic level of the PCGA membership. It is conducted by the inviting Auxiliary Squadron of the new member or the Squadron the new member wishes to join.
The orientation consists of the customs, traditions, membership, policies, advocacy, missions, operations and partner Coast Guard Station of the said Auxiliary Squadron. Should the prospective member wish to continue with his/her membership, it is only then that he/she is given an Application Form.
Once the Squadron Board of Membership Committee finds the application form, the submitted documentary requirements, and the applicant as suitable to become a PCGA member, the Board of Membership Committee through the Director Auxiliary Squadron will endorse the application to the District.

PCGA Orientation
This is a four-hour orientation usually held every last Saturday of the month.
The orientation consists of the history, rules and regulations, missions, operations, partnerships, advocacy and membership within the PCGA.
After the orientation, the applicant will be on a probationary period of 3 months during which time, he/she must attend at least 60% if not all of the meetings and activities of the Squadron. Also during this period, the new member cannot be issued an ID and he/she still cannot wear the PCGA uniform.
Within the said 3 month probationary period, the applicant is required to attend the third orientation;

Protocol Orientation
This is a two-hour seminar in which the new member will be introduced to the protocols and courtesy set and adhered by the PCGA officers and members.
After the completion of the above mentioned orientations, a Certificate of Indoctrination will be issued by the District. This shall be enclosed to the 201 file (application form and documentary requirements) that the member should submit to his/her Squadron, who in turn, will forward it to the District for the issuance of the General Order.

Note
Membership entails responsibilities as an Auxiliarist, hence, members are required to participate and contribute whenever possible in Squadron activities, meetings, projects, trainings and other efforts in support of the Philippine Coast Guard. (This is to prevent notions that applicants aspire to join PCGA for the mere sake of using its uniform, titles and appellations for personal gain.)
