The PCGA 125th Auxiliary Squadron, led by Director Auxiliary Squadron CAPT JUNMAR A ROA PCGA, conducted training on Basic Boat Safety Handling and Knot Tying at Barangay Bunga, Tanza, Cavite last 28 May 2014.
The Knot Tying training started at around 1130H with CAPT JUNMAR A ROA PCGA, CDR ARNEL D ALVARAN and LCDR ROLANDO V RAMOS, along with PO2 Rodel P Taupo PCG, PO3 Nelson C Nacional PCG and SN1 Arneil C Necesario PCG of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cavite serving as trainers.
This was followed by a briefing by PO2 Taupo PCG and CAPT ROA PCGA, and a demonstration on the Basic Boat Safety Handling by PO3 Nacional PCG and SN1 Necesario PCG using the inflatable rubber boat of the Squadron and other life saving devices by CGS Cavite.
Groups of two were then tasked to row, capsize, tip the boat back, board and row back to shore.
Trainees were also tasked to lift the boat off the river and into the shore
