As thousands of sea-going passengers once again flocked the major piers and wharves in the country in time for the All Souls and All Saints Day, the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, in partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard, has put up Passenger Assistance Centers (PAC) to assist during their arrival and departure.
The 125th Squadron have joined the PAC for Oplan Undas 2012 in South and North Harbor in Manila as stated in the IMPLAN and put up a PAC as well in Laguna, as per the arrangement with CGS Laguna de Bay Station Commander, LTJG JAN TERAZONA PCG.
On 28 0725H October 2012 (Sunday), the Squadron arrived in Pier 15 Eva Macapagal Terminal and started assisting passengers on the Terminal entrance and exit and at the baggage x-ray machine area. Through the leadership of Director Auxiliary Squadron (DAS) CAPT JUNMAR A ROA PCGA, Squadron Officers have assisted and prioritized the elders and children on the queues. After a 14-hour duty, the Squadron left the pier with no further incidents reported.
On 02 2100H November 2012 (Friday), five Squadron Officers through the leadership of CAPT JUNMAR A ROA PCGA, went on duty in Pier 2 North Harbor to assist passengers who are departing the city.
In coordination with LTJG TERAZONA PCG and CPO Geronimo N Edralin PCG, the Squadron, through the leadership of Deputy DAS for Operations CAPT ELISEO P LIM PCGA, have also put up a PAC in Coast Guard Detachment (CGDet) Sta Rosa in Brgy Kaingin, Sta Rosa Laguna in 03 0700H November 2012 (Saturday). A low number of passengers was noted for the day and lilies have inundated the wharf, making it hard for motor boats to disembark/board their passengers.
Since the Squadron has already went on duty on said AOR last year, a development was also noted, particularly in having a manifesto for each vessel prior to sailing.
