The new set of Directors Auxiliary Squadron and Director Auxiliary District of the CGAD National Capital Region-Central Luzon will assume leadership and management at 1800H 29 June 2012 at the Seafood Restaurant of the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
The ceremonies will be graced by Coast Guard Commandant VADM EDMUND C TAN PCG, while Coast Guard District NCR-CL Commander RADM CECIL R CHEN PCG and Vice Commandant for Operations RADM LUIS M TUASON JR PCG will be the presiding officers for the Joint Turn-Over of Leadership and Management Ceremonies.
COMMO HILARION F DIMAGIBA JR PCGA will relieve the position of Director Auxiliary District (DAD) of CGAD NCR-CL from COMMO JOSEPH N DY PCGA.
Six Directors Auxiliary Squadron (DAS) will re-assume their positions while 10 others will relinquish commands to the new DAS. An awarding of medals and ribbons will also be conferred to officers who have outstandingly served and shared their resources to the PCG and the PCGA.
With the assumption of their leadership, the CGAD NCR-CL Command shall be prepared to undergo changes and improvements in its organization, especially with the release of the revised PCGA Regulations Manual 2012.
The CGAD NCR-CL is the largest Auxiliary District in the country, composed of 16 Squadrons which are partnered with Coast Guard Stations within the NCR-CL area of responsibility.
The PCGA is a volunteer civilian organization which uses a military structure for organization purposes. Under the Coast Guard Law of 2009 or RA 9993, the PCGA is mandated to assist the PCG in search and rescue operations and responding to ship emergency situations; promoting of safety of life and properties at sea; conservation of marine resources; maintenance and development of aids to navigation and promotion of maritime community relations.
